Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic

Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic: Gossip Girl meets The Kentucky Derby with an unlimited volume of Veuve Clicquot champagne.

Attire: When envisioning the perfect frock to wear to a polo match, I think of emerging London-based label Self-Portrait by Malaysian born designer Han Chong. In 2013 he branched out from his position as creative director  at Three Floor to create his very own brand of eye-catching, unique and anything-but-ordinary womenswear. Han left Malaysia to study fashion design in London at Central Saint Martins, tracing the footsteps of the influential Alexander McQueen.

Cut-outs, leg veils, lace, ruffles, architectural lines, geometric shapes, inventive combinations of fabrics, contemporary structure with feminine whimsey = down right dreamy dresses, jumpsuits and two-pieces ensembles.

I adore an imaginative modern interpretation of a timeless vintage silhouette, at a price tag within reach. An aesthetic that fits well for the races or a polo match. And never leave home without your hat or parasol. Sun protection is key during these outdoor summer lawn parties!

Here, I am wearing Self-Portrait's white reflections jacquard midi dress, complimented by Dita Eyewear's over-sized cat eye frames.
