Conrad Camouflage

This look embodies the blending of prints, prints and more prints in the most cohesive fashion. I call this particular combo, Conrad Camouflage, because of how perfectly it integrates into the grand staircase of the Conrad Hotel. The staircase really serves as an artistic entrance to the equally unique and futuristic atrium, which features a floating light installation and massive mural by American artist Sol Lewitt. Yet this is just the tip of the iceberg, the hotel is home to about 2,000 pieces of artwork!

When I saw this staircase for the first time the week prior to the shot I was inspired and completed the outfit with the staircase in mind. I made the subtle addition of zipper cuffs on the sleeves by designer/zipper artist Autumn Lin and the checkered Giambattistia Valli wool trousers, the icing on the cake.

As for the hair I did my own interpretation of the cornrows from Valentino's SS16 PFW runwayand Pascal Millet's frizzy braids. It's current to leave your braids au naturel, with a bit of frizz or even pull some hairs out.

While doing my makeup I focused my attention on the brows, I'm loving a thicker more defined "boy" brow at the moment.
