What's Your Hamptons?

This post is the first of a new series entitled, "What's Your Hamptons?" I'm thinking of it as the Snapchat of blog posting. Not too glossy, but still glam. This series follows the casually vibrant day to day life in the Hamptons—weekends enjoyed by perfect weather, unbelievable sunsets, fresh produce, bay caught sea bass, croquet, paddle boarding, cooking, laughing, relaxing, sharing cable knits, Jeeping on the beach, bonfires and so on . . .

I've always wondered from the outside, what is this Hamptons?

It is so many things. Too many things to relay in one post. Whatever it is you desire you can find it here if you take the time to look.

Most of all the Hamptons is a state of being. It's a frame of mind and spirit. A relief/relaxation of the senses, from the relentless sounds and invisible energy coursing through the city. Peaceful and serene—while comfort in knowing the greatest metropolis in the world is within arms reach. The only way I can put into words what makes this terrain so special is the following: Most people would say that simply the sight of Manhattan, whether entering from land, air or sea evokes a strong feeling, and regardless where you are in the city you feel an unexplainable energy. The Hamptons manifests its own feeling in the same way, only in a rural community. By first glance it simply looks like several nice little towns, but once you spend time here you come to realize that it too is very special—partly do to its proximity to the city and countless other reasons I plan on spelling out in this series.

Now I'll ask, what's your Hamptons?
