Pins & Plaid

From morning in Sag Harbor to afternoon in Shelter Island to sunset in Montauk, I love nothing more than dressing in The Hamptons.

This was my first time styling a piece by Ganni (a brand out of Copenhagen) and I was truly impressed by the quality and tailoring, these silk lined high waisted trousers are a comfortable fit and perfect length. I would call them a classic staple piece that can be versatility styled.

Only after wearing these pieces together did I feel a Woody Allen vibe come over me—must be the trouser length with converse sneakers and a blazer? Or perhaps it was his answer to whether the Hamptons are a good idea (he was quoted as saying):“Many years ago, when everyone I know had houses in the Hamptons, I thought maybe it was for me too. I bought a very, very beautiful house in Southampton, and I spent over a year fixing it up … I mean, I did an incredible job. Then I went out there one night and I slept in it, and I never came back.”
