SSGT Angelo

served in the “President’s Own” United States Marine Band

From 2006 - 2014

UNDER President George W. Bush & President Barrack Obama

 During her tenure SSGT Angelo was stationed at 8th and I on Capitol Hill in Washington DC and performed at The White House, The National Mall and marched in full honors funerals at Arlington National Cemetery. Along with solo performances with the band at the US Capitol and Washington Monument during the summer concert series, performing Weber’s Concertino. During a decade long career with the Marine Band, SSGT Angelo joined the organization on six national concert tours traveling throughout the country, and performed on Bb Clarinet, Basset Clarinet, Bass Clarinet and Contra-Bass Clarinet. SSGT Angelo is proud to have taken part in creating a one-of-a-kind concert presentation for the organization Music in the Schools with the Marine Band clarinet quintet. 

Marine Band Career highlights:

  •  Performed at President Barrack Obama’s First and Second Inauguration.

  •  Escorted Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi to the First Ladies Luncheon with First Lady Michelle Obama.

  •  Met and performed for President Barrack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama during a White House holiday reception.

  •  Solo performances of Weber’s Concertino at the US Capitol and Washington Monument.

  •  Performed with John Williams and the Marine Band at the Kennedy Center.

  •  Performed with Italian-American composer and arranger, Sammy Nestico.
